They needed a site that reflects their professionalism and innovation. We created a brand site using vibrant colours and working in close collaboration with the client to realise their goals.

MTN is a major GSM cellular network operator delivering service in South Africa and other African countries. They were in a unique position to give back to developing communities by facilitating entrepreneurship and small businesses across the African continent.

While working at Aqua Online in South Africa, Danae was part of the team tasked to figure out how best to leverage MTN’s reach and penetration to provide practical benefits for MTN Business subscribers.

We came up with the idea of providing access to an MTN Business Portal that would provide (airtime and data) free tools that would benefit small and medium businesses throughout Africa. These tools included – among others – business templates such as a business card builder and professional invoice / quote generator which would be easy to use and customisable. We also proposed the idea of a data-free advertising platform for entrepreneurs.

Due to budget priorities the project was put on hold for a 2016 – 2017 launch, but there was a lot of excitement around the idea, and MTN in particular applauded us for our ability to think outside the box and increase brand affinity for a particularly needy sector.

The Ford Ranger Odyssey Challenge has been a yearly staple at Ford South Africa since it launched in 2013. The Challenge asks “Are you tough enough to tackle the most brutal terrain you’ll ever drive and then ask for more?”, and takes participants on the experience of a lifetime in, you guessed it, the ultra-tough Ford Ranger.

2015 was gearing up to be the most successful year yet, and the company approached Danae’s team at Aqua to create an immersive and comprehensive social, marketing and web solution for their campaign.

The site would have to include user registrations, updates, the odyssey course, mini competitions and house the video archives of the previous years.

The Aanandi Group are a property development company that focuses on modern luxury condominiums along the Meekhong River between Thailand and Laos. They needed a web presence that mimics that sense of luxurious comfort and contemporary design.

They also required the ability to add new development sites as they are built, and provide details on all the various types of apartments that will become available. .

ProTEFL approached us with a startup brand. They required both branding and a new ecommerce website to sell their unique TEFL product. The brand needed to appeal to their target audience (18-30yrolds) as well as showcase the experience of teching in a foreign country – in this case, Thailand.

The site design had to be reassuring and professional while still being fun and vibrant. The brand itself needed a similar design approach: big, bold, young and fun. They needed the logo, as well as all corporate collateral including print and digital stationary, presentation templates and brochures.

We chose a bold palette to denote the vibrance of the brand, and created a shield-like logo that gave the impression of a well-established school. The site itself was filled with instructive illustrations to impart relevant information in a familar near-infographic manner. We also found a copywriter experienced in the particular colloquial tone we required for the brand tone.

FlightClub approached us with a particular challenge: they wanted a completely fresh take on the flight booking experience. They felt the existing model for the flight booking process, while functional, wasn’t as engaging an experience for the user as it could be.

The Escape Hunt Experience is the world’s top live escape game  – a multiplayer live game trend taking the world by storm. They needed a new booking template they could easily implement for a new franchise acquisition anywhere in the world.

We were contracted by their media agency to create a visually stunning and immersive brand experience during the booking process. Social integration was high priority, as well as the ability for each franchise to create blog posts.

Align IT wanted a fresh new look based on the digital trend around retro design elements. They wanted to stand out from the dull IT crowd and decided to take a drastically different route, while still retaining the informative appeal necessary to be competitive in their industry.
