I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world, working with clients across the globe. I’ve built e-commerce websites in Bangkok, corporate websites in London, online charity drives in South Africa and lots of things in-between. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t, and I love a challenge.
I’m agile, and able to take on the role necessary for your project. I can spearhead, support or polish your project or product at any stage.
Simple, minimal and effective – this is my mantra and my method. Clean code, fuss-free interfaces and expert execution.
And neither do I. I’m not bound to any time zones or tied to a desk. The project dictates where I need to be and with whom I need to collaborate. And, I always go the extra mile.
I have a long history with corporate branding and identity, and can rebrand your business from the ground up.
Proficient in the Adobe suite, I am well versed in creating pixel-perfect website and UX layouts. I often work with vector graphics for illustrations and website animation. I am a massive fan of the WordPress CMS system and have a strong appreciation for open source technologies. My main focus has always been front-end technologies like HTML5 + CSS3 and jQuery, but my passion leans toward back-end technologies like PHP and MySQL.
As you can see, I posed for this, and even got my good blazer on.
I’ve enjoyed an extensive 12-year web career and have worked in both small and large agencies all around the world. I love design and the web and can say that my best and most irritating character trait is my compulsive need to problem solve. If you don’t think that is such a bad thing, ask my missus about it.
My interest in all things “geek” has allowed me to turn my passion into a career. Building and designing websites (and all things internet tech. related) is what drives me to focus on my goal of outclassing large creative website agencies.
I love talking shop, so if you have a website brief in mind I would love to talk to you about it.
I earned a degree in design and communication, but after some time found coding to be my calling, loving the challenge rather than just pushing pixels. I can now take a website brief from handshake to completion, with some search-engine optimisation thrown in for good measure.
As a trained designer, I understand the importance of appearance and layout. I've been privy to enough campaigns to know that a failed design means a failed project. One of my key strengths is understanding what can be turned around quickly for development, what design choices are suited to the brief and which are simply unnecessary for the task at hand.
I can talk geek for hours and am on a mission to get great at it. Just like bad design can fail a project, a website that clunks and breaks down can lose a business potential clients and cause endless headaches. I am a sure-footed developer, less flash and more tried technique. I am more preferential to the open source languages and not keen on the fly-by-night frameworks.
There are clear cases that require tried-and-true methods to accomplish the task at hand and for these I have methods that allow me to turn out quality work quickly. But, because I am self-motivated and like to challenge myself, I also come up with innovative ways to solve the more creative briefs.

My focus is on SEO optimisation, meaning, getting the most out of a website build. I stick to what I know so I avoid search engine marketing because what I know is how to build a kick-ass website for any browser or device and make sure that Google loves it enough to want to share it with your potential customers.
Keeping a website updated and fresh is a full-time job, I love nothing more than to scope out what needs to be done to ensure a website improves and evolves over time. Whether it be WordPress updates, design tweaks, content posting or the full-on running and hosting of your site, I am always ready to help and am always on call when needed.
